New Fee for Microfilm starting January 15, 2006 at FHC

I have heard that within 5 years time the only volunteers at the FHL will be there to help people get started...but no records will be there. After that, there will not be any volunteers at all. Why? Because they expect it all to be online at that point. No need for the FHL branch to rent you a microfilm, it will be right on your computer........

Sounds good to me...even if it take another 10 years....that would be truly amazing to say the least.

To have all these records accessed online will be fantastic.......but I wonder what the cost will be??
Is it going to be a paid subscription like ancestry? Pay for access to the exact record you are looking for, like the rental fee at the center......or will it be free??
