I'm not sure if I need to get my official census record copies from NARA or Dept of Commerce. I'm reading that people are using copies from both places. Which do you suggest the consulate prefers?
Ask the consulate what they prefer and go to both the census and NARA at www.USCensus.gov and seek census certification and for NARA www.italiandualcitizenship.com/id60.htm
I'm asking what people's experiences have been with which census records were prefered by their consulate in cases of no record of naturalization.
