After sending in the G-639 form I received a letter stating that that form was no longer being processed in that office and no longer providing certified copies. It further said I could receive a copy through the geneology department and that the embassy in Washington, DC didn't require a certified copy. BUT the consulate in Chicago DOES!! What can I do?? How can I get a certified copy at this point in time? any suggestions??
