never mind I found out........ man the consulate really makes you jump through hoops for simple things. I need to get his birth certificate authenticated. It sucks because he will have to go to tokyo from the north of japan to do it and then send me the document then wait for new york to authenticate it then send it back then go back to tokyo. this means more $$$/¥¥¥
