Hi, thank you so much suanj. My grandfather moved around he lived in New York City and then moved to Philadelphia. He later moved back to New York City and retired to Cape May, New Jersey.
My grandfather's birth day was December 24th so I am a little confused with seeing the October birth date and the spelling of the last name Giacomini not Giacomino.
Also my great grandmother Rosina I know she died it Italy but I did not know my grandfather had a younger brother Umberto.

Yes I understand your perplexity, in effects Dante declared 24th Dec 1891 and 24 oct 1891 as birthdate in different US records; but he was on 24 oct 1891.. the father, Angelo Giacomini/o ( in Italy the surname was Giacomini and become Giacomino in USA) when emigrated was widow, so Rosina died in Italy.. abt little Umberto I have no further details, just I can say that this Umberto emigrated with the father... I no searched abt the life in USA of Angelo and Dante siblings.. but no doubts that the records abt Dante are of your ancestor.. regards,

Thank you very much. I went online to look at Avigliano, my grandfather said it was a beautiful place. We just left italy last month I wish I had known about this town.
I have a final question did Angelo Giacomini have any brothers or sisters left in Italy when he came to America.

I no searched abt the Angelo Giacomini genealogic tree... I know not if Angelo was born in Avigliano also or no...
Giacomini seeming no a surname of Avigliano;
I know that Dante and Umberto was born in Avigliano; I searched abt Umberto birth record, born in Avigliano on 5 dec 1894 #771; the full name was Umberto Carmine Rosario GIACOMINI;
at time of birth Angelo was domiciled in Potenza town; I believe he moved in Potenza for the work...

I no found Rocco Giacomini birth record in Avigliano.. maybe he was born in some other town near Avigliano...

as a well I no found Camillo Giacomini birth record in Avigliano in 1886 births and in 1888 births( he given the birthdates: 15 aug 1886 and 15 aug 1888 in some US records and in the wife ( Maria Coviello Giacomino born in Avigliano on 6 apr 1893) petition of naturalization the Camillo birth date is 15 aug 1887 Potenza ( no Avigliano); but in Potenza births no birth record of Camillo: no in 1886,1887,1888 so I know no where Rocco and Camillo was born... as a well the Angelo birthplace.. hoping helpful, regards,
