Post by Darig »

Hello everyone : I think that I never told you guys but I work in a Ship and I wil be in Genova on 07/09 for few hours and need to know some important info !!!

-Where I should go for records from 1840 - 1850 (birth certificates).
-Somebody know the address of the "comune" or municipality of Genova?
-Do you know if I need any specific document in order to get a copy of a birth certificate?
-Where is more probably that I can find certificates from those years?

Please advise because I have more questions !!! :P

Hello,
you can go to Genova State Archive

http://archivi.beniculturali.it/ASGE/asge.htm

or Comune di Genova
Ufficio di Stato civile
Corso Torino 11

statocivile@comune.genova.it

You don't need any specific document in order to request a birth record older than 70 years

I hope it helps, bye ricbru
