Sardinian birth father entering UK

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Sardinian birth father entering UK

Post by Rich ellett » 14 Jun 2018, 20:58

Im looking for my birth father who was of Sardinian decent born in 1942 or 1943

His name is Antonio Fiori

The only information I have was he was a waiter at the Gleneagles hotel in Scotland in 1966-68
And I’m not sure if it’s possible to find details about him entering the UK?

I have a photo of him in Sardinia when he was about 18-20 years old.

I can’t find any record of him still being in the UK. Births deaths marriages don’t tie in with anyone of his birth year or anywhere near.

I’d like to know how I could search births in Sardinia it seems very difficult there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated even if there is a professional fee.

Thanks

You can post the picture? do you see a landscape behind it, something that can help to identify the place?
