S.S. Canopic Information Requested

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

S.S. Canopic Information Requested

Post by FrankCMauro » 15 Mar 2019, 22:14

I have found the ships manifest page with my grandmother listed on it as Maria Turdore (correct spelling should have been Tudorre). I know the ship left Naples, Italy. The cover sheet says S.S. Canopic June 15, 1916. My question is What port in America did the ship arrive at? June 15, 1916 is that the departure or arrival date? How can I find out more information? Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Frank

The manifest is on two pages; second page gives port of arrival as Boston.
