Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Brazil. Congress. Constitutional amendment number 54/2007.

"Allows the foreign-born children of Brazilian parents to automatically have full citizenship status".

According to the Constitution a person is considered Brazilian if they are "born in foreign land from either a Brazilian father or mother, and if they are registered at the appropriate office..."
