I am trying to search for E-Mail Addresses of individuals with my surname in Italy so that I can send them a Form Letter inquiring if we might be related....If you know of a good source your help would be Appreciated !....

Email addresses are not easy to come by, have you considered old fashioned snail mail?

Yes if necessary....However , I was really hoping to be able to find at least 1 E-Mail Address but if not I would use snail mail....

think you should try www.facebook.com loads of italian surnames there

Hi Tony,

another ways is a free registration to SKYPE. is necessary to download and install a specific software (like windows messenger) and you can search your surname all over the world or only in italy . if there are user registered with your surname you'll find them. i found several users registered with my surname and i contacted them....

Now this is interesting......I have a myspace, but hadn't heard of facebook.
I registered, but how to see where the names of interest originate from??
Not a computer whiz here....

I know about Skype, but am hesitant to download anything....I worry about viruses and such.....

I just put my surname in the search box next to the log in....Iam still Not sure how to search for members with my surnameresididing in Italy....If anyone knows how to do this I would Appreciate your help.....Thank You !....

How do I search for a contact?
To search for a contact so that they can be added to your contact list, select the Search for Skype Users option on the Contacts menu or click Tools > Search for Skype Users.

A new search window will open where you can search for friends by name, or any other information they have listed in their profile.

When searching for a surname on facebook you can search by networks ie italy or the name of an italian city or area can be entered to filter the results
Best way i find is to add as friend and then if accepted you can view their homepage
The search facility on facebook also allows you to message potential contacts

Dear Tony what you really want is a directory of e-mail addresses and the names they relate to in Italy....There used to be a limited directory many (?) years ago but apparently that has gone to directory heaven. There does not appear to be any directory that will serve your needs for e-mail addresses. =Peter=
