Wow! You folks are incredible with the searching. With the lack of family informtion, it does seem possible that these last records could be correct (in ref. to my family) It is possible that no one knew that (a possible) Great Grandfather brought my grandfather here. (Then possibly left)

The names Jenny Volpi / Jenny Morella
Antonetta Volpi / Antonetta Carosiello

seem to match information from the WWI card found earlier, just the names appear reversed. Too much of a coincidence I think to be anything but my family. Now I'll see if I cant find marriage records for either.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

If you look below line 28 it would appear that my grandfather Pietro Carosiello is listed. Can someone tell me why (or possibly why) there would be a line thru his name and information?

Hi!
Lines 29 & 30 are lined-out.
Line 28 appears to be fine.
If it were lined-out the line would start on the far left side.

I want to thank everyone who helped me on this. It turns out 90% of the information has now been verified as of last Thursday when I met my Uncle for the very first time. (I'm 43)

I NEED a little help on two subjects still. Maybe an Admin can help... But while this thread was active I received a message and started to talk to someone who knew and wrote a small book on my grandfather sort of based on his life in Drummond, PA. I NEED TO FIND THAT PERSON. IT's been so long since i have been on this site I have no messages. Is it possible that they were archieved? Also hoping that person reads this thread again.

Obtaining my grandfathers birth record from Italy...... I have sent for it twice with no results... Options.

Why don't you try the Family History Library films of Registri dello stato civile di Faeto (Foggia), 1809-1929 you get the birth act here in the US. Cvil registration of births, marriages, deaths, marriage banns, supplemental documents, marriage documents from Faeto, Foggia, Italy. Text in Italian. Some years may be missing or out of order.

Pardon my stupidity after staring at films consisting of 1897 it appears to only be a daily ledger of sorts and beyond difficult to deterine most spellings. I did find a page that stated
"Nati, matrimoni, pubblicazioni, morti 1897 Family History Library INTL film 1802915 item 2"
https://familysearch.org/search/catalog ... %20Library

which brings me to a purchase page:
https://familysearch.org/films/lookup/p ... m/1802915/

Now this looks like it would include all available records for 1897
But it is for a microfilm loan. How am I to view it? I called my local libraries and non have a microfilm machine. A local school does but I can not bring in my own films, can only use it to view thier files ???????????

You go to you local Family History Library in your area which is usually a church and they have the equipment for viewing and coping on use a camera to copy yourself
