Dear suedaydreamer in Italy records and documents are normally found inthe city, town or village of origin so whenyou say Turin=Torino I shudder! unless you know exactly that this city is his birth place. Please advise.
Try www.findmypast.com for name checks (free ) since it is a paying website and maybe worth while if you come across their names and also www.freeBMD.org/uk andtry google using the name, genealogy and Italy in the title for any research ever done on these two personalities.
Please get back with what results you come up with. =Peter=
The 1881 Census says that he was born in Turin in about 1832, and that he was indeed a Musician by trade.
If you can gain access to Ancestry World Membership (should be avaliable in your local library), there are plenty of Luigi Curti's on record in the database - "Como and Lecco, Lombardia, Italy, Civil Registration Records, 1866-1937 (in Italian)"
Oh I forgot to mention that he married in1855 and then died in 1885in pancras at age 53 since he was born in 1832. Happy New Year and pleasant dreams. =Peter=
