Lopilato Family Italy

Post by dianebendergary »

Does anyone know the family of Agustino Lopilatino and his wife Rose. They are in the 1920 Federal Census living in Boston.

I need to know if anyone out there knows Rose's maiden name. She would have been my g-grandmothers sister. They came from Mirabella, Italy.

Go to www.nonsolocap.it and see which Mirabella is the town of origin for the family and then click onthe correct mirabella andscroll down to Municipio which has an address for that town of origin and send a form letter to the Uffico di Stato Civile and request a marriage record for Agustino and Rose's marriage. Go to http://www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwi ... tters.html for the form letters in Italian which you can send for the marriage certificate. There is no charge and the service is free. Wait 6-8 weeks. You can give an approximate year of the marriage if you do not know the date. =Peter=

Diane,

How is the family name indexed on ancestry..spelling?

You could also look at the age of Rose, and then go to www.stevemorse.org .Using the town name, First name and approximate age, look through to see the ship manifests. One might say going to see husband Agostino. Remember also to check under Rosaria, Maria Rosa, Rosa and Rosina as these are all variations of Rose.
