Hello people!
I've been looking for the coat of arms of the Peverelli family, and i'm not having any success. I live in Argentina and my family came from Como.
I found the name origin and a very little picture of the coat, but I need more information and a better image.
Can anybody help me in my research?
Anything would be of a great help for me.
Thank you all!!
Coat of Arms of Peverelli family
Re: Coat of Arms of Peverelli family
Welcome to Italian Genealogy
I gave a similar answer to someone requesting a Coat of Arms for the Caratti Family, just to let him know how a Coat of Arms works.
A Coat of Arms doesn't work the way many people think it does. First, not every family had a Coat of Arms, in fact, a Coat of Arms belonged to an individual, and was passed down from eldest son to eldest son, like a title (the current bearer's immediate family could also bear the arms to indicate their relation to the bearer). Basically, a Coat of Arms was not awarded to everyone, and when it was, it passed to individuals, not families. It may however be fun to do some research and see if a Peverelli ever had a Coat of Arms, but don't fall for websites that say your family did have one, and then try to get you to buy a copy. Hope this helped!

P.S. This link may help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms
Also, I hope this wasn't the site you found your Coat of Arms on http://www.4crests.com/ It isn't reliable.

Re: Coat of Arms of Peverelli family
Thank you so much for the welcome and for the information!
I contacted an italian Peverelli that gave me the coat of arms that I have now, and i also found the same one in another website. I really don't know if it is the correct one, or if the information is truthful.
This is the link: http://images.google.com.ar/imgres?imgu ... 1%26um%3D1
(kinda long, sory!)
Hope I could reach the correct one.
Thank you so much again!
