Hi -
I would like to get a copy of my great grandfather's birth certificate so I can find out his parent's names. My great grandfather's name was Luigi Zampella. He immigrated to the United States, arriving at Ellis Island on December 17, 1898 at the age of 17. He traveled with his brother, Giuseppe, age 24 and Giuseppe's wife (I believe), Michela, age 21, on the Burgundia, which departed from the port of Naples. The last place of residence for all three of them is shown as Caserta.
Thanks -
Joe

Re: Luigi Zampella Birth Certificate
i believe some one on there has your family tree, did Luigi marry Caroline Esposito in 1846?
Re: Luigi Zampella Birth Certificate
No, Luigi was single and only 17 years old when he immigrated in 1898, which means he was born about 1881. He married Antoinette in 1907. She passed away sometime between September 12, 1918 and April 7, 1919. Antoinette is listed Luigi's WWI draft registration card, dated September 12, 1918, and he was remarried to Mary Reubina on April 7, 1919.
