Here is a WWI Registration Card (aliens were required to register) for Salvatore Saia in Pennsylvania. The date of birth is close to that of Antonino. Relative to contact lists Giuseppe Saia in Italy.

Not sure if this is your Salvatore...

Manifest for brother Giacchino Saia (spelled Saya in the transcription) going to meet brothers Antonio, Salvatore and Giovanni in Boston, MA.

SS Perugia arriving 13 Feb. 1913
Leaves wife Teresa D'Amore in Palermo

Found this on the Ellis Island site. When I tried to pull it up in Ancestry I got a "Detained Passengers" list. Giacchino was near the bottom, and according to the notations was deported.

Thank you so much! I actually speak Italian and can also read it. My parents came here in 1974 with my brother and 2 sisters and was pregnant with me and had my little sister in 1979........so italian is my first language!

I searched and there is one close to me. I will go there this week!

Not sure I can help much, but my great grandmother's name was Rosalia Saia from Castrofilippo, Sicily. Any chance we are related?

I am a Direct Descendant of Giaocchino Saia, He is my Great-Grandfather, His only son, Sam Anthony Saia, is my Grandfather, and his son Dean Anthony Saia, is my Father. I Don't remember much of my Great Grandfather, his american name was "Jack", he passed away in 1991 in Port Allen, Louisiana. He was a businessman, He was a Bar Owner of "Jacks Place" and this bar is still open today in Port Allen, Louisiana.

He was a staff colonel for Gov. Huey P. Long, Held a West Baton Rouge Special
Sheriff's Deputy badge and was an active merchant and businessman in Port Allen.

He was the father of daughters, Jeanette Laurent and Louise Fertitta; and son,
Sam A. Saia. He was the grandfather of seven.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvadore and Gioannina Santa Coiumba
Saia; his first wife, Mary Lamartina Saia; second wife, Lucille Murray Saia;
brothers, Charles, Tony and Frank Saia; and sister, Rosa Saia Favaro.

I Hope this has helped you guys, and Just to let you guys know, my Grandfather Sam and my father Dean are both still Living.
