Michelin e Furlanetto

Post by afmichel »

Grazie,
Aldo

There are 4 persons in the city of Treviso who are surnamed Michelin and 31 in th e entire province of Treviso with the same surname. If you go to www.paginebianche.it and insert the MICHELIN in the first line and TV in the third line and then click CERCA you will get a listing of all 31. In Italy you need to know the town of origin to find your history....!! . Have you tried any of the Italian immigration to Brazil websites?? like www.imigrantes italianos.com.br . Peter NYC

I´ve found the arrival registers of my ancstors in the Immigrant Memorial (Sao Paulo - Brazil )...They don´t have the procedence data, but they have the name of the ship ( France ) and the date of arrival ( 27/01/1888 )
My question is:
Is there a manner of get the ship route in that journey? And the data of the tripulants?

suanj, could you explain me the meaning of "bb.314"?
I´m thinking about using the same model that you showed to Vera.

The France that you mentioned was on a St Nazaire to Panama Route which began around 1884. it is possible the ship was diverted to Brazil on one of its voyages to or from Panama to Brazil beforfe returning to St Nazaire in 1888. Peter

Thanks Peter,

Well, as far as I know, the ship must be named as "La France", and it came to Brazil bringing italian immigrants more than twice in that same year 1888, for some searches that I did. And it seems to belong to SGTM french fleet.

Domanda: Perche hai posto Trevignano in blu??
Grazie milla

Suanj,

In those pages stands that the ship "France" was built in 1896, after my bisnonno had come to Brazil (1888). The ship "La France" was built in 1870. So it is that why I believe that this ship is the correct one.
