Research for Prov. Genoa

I am seeking information on August Lavagnino, born in the Prov. Genoa, in August 4, 1852, possibly from the town of Neirone. He emigrated in 1883 and lived in Detroit and Cleveland. I believe that his father's name may have been Giaccomo and his mother's Maria Casagranda. I have done research online (LDS, census, ship records) but I would really like to to identify August and Maria's ancestors. I am open to hiring a genealogist in Italy. My hope is to have research conducted before I make a visit to Genoa in 2011. I would appreicaite any advice on this matter, including recommendations of a professional genealogist I could trust to assist me.

Looking for information on the following:

1. Guiseppe or Giovanni Lavagnino, from the Liguria area of Italy
2. Cemeteries in Lavagna and Neirone in Liguria.
3. Any other information on the family history of Lavagninos in Italy.

I will be going to Neirone and Lavagna in June of this year, and would love to visit cemeteries, churches, city offices that may have records.
