Ricchio Family

Hi all! My great-grandfather was Serafino Ricchio. He and his family came over to America in 1909. I do believe that he had 2 brothers Alesandro and Angelo Ricchio. His parents were Raffaele Ricchio, who was married to Aquilla Tenuta. Serafino was married to Angelina Marotto. Angelina's parents were Frank Marotto and Mary Scalzo. Can this be confrimed? And where is this town that they came from? I do believe that some of Serafino's relatives settled in south Wisconsin while he settled in Spooner, Wisconsin. Are there any relatives out there that I am related to? Thanks all for looking. Also, Serafino changed his last name to Rich and am not sure why?

Not related but know of the family:

Raffaele married Aquilla Tenuta in 1872 in Marano Principato. Their children were born in Cerisano, Calabria, Italy. However, the family moved to the town of S. Vincenzo la Costa, where most married and had children themselves.

si, vivono tra san vincenzo la costa e un paese la vicino che si chiama san sisto dei valdesi. alcuni come Ricchio Bruno e Ricchio Genoveffa, figli di Serafino che era lui figlio di Raffaele Ricchio sono venuti a Toronto e li sono morti tanti anni fa

Serafino actually had 7 brothers and sisters. Gabriel, Francesco, Angelo, Alessandro, Giachino, Maria, And Rochella which came from his father's (Ralph) second wife Aquila Tenuta. He had 3 other brothers and sisters from his Dad's first wife Fortuna Presta which were; Bruno, Anthony, and Josephine. My great grandfather was Franceso and most of his family is close to here in Racine, WI. Any other information we can give back and forth I would love!

In a book I own, there is a picture of Serafino with his mother and another picture of just Serafino. They're B&W photos in a copied book, but they are a start in case you have never seen them. You can private message me with your email and I can scan them for you.

I, too have been trying to locate more information about Serafino's relatives. I am part of that family in Spooner that suzyb64 is referring to. I would love to learn about our family's history.
