LiPetri's of Menfi

Post by LiPetri » 26 Feb 2012, 02:02

I know my great grandfather, Anthony LiPetri, emigrated to the USA around 1910 or so with his brother, son, Ignazio and daughter, Martha. He was a widower. Are any of our relatives still in Menfi? I know this is so little information but it's all I have. Feeling very nostalgic!

I found the ship manifest of their arrival to Ellis Island on July 6th, 1910.
Antonino Li Petri 33 years, and children
Francesco 9
Marti (male) 7
Ignazio 3
leaving nobody in Menfi.
But it also says they were going to join wife and mother Marta Marriano in Brooklyn, 133 Gierge St..
Is this the family you are writing about?
Anyway, there are still a lot of Li Petri's in Menfi, as you can see here: ... i&dv=menfi
