WW2 POW Santo Mancuso

Post by amancuso » 22 May 2012, 15:23

I am looking for anyone who may have been a POW with my father during WW2. He was captured in Tobruk in 21/01/1941, detained in Sth Africa until 1943, then transferred to the United Kingdom in April 1943. I know he was held at Camp No 57, Merrow Downs, Surrey on 4/6/1943 but I have no other information.
I believe he fathered a male child with a nurse who was treating him for pneumonia. See here for further details.
I am trying to find my half brother but do not have a name of the child or nurse. If anyone knew my father or of him, please contact me.

His details are as follows.
Santo Mancuso
From Bianchi, Cosenza.
Unit 69th Rgt. Inf., Btg2, Comp. Arditi
Service No. 311

Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.
