Piscitelli - Buccino

Post by dzsmimma » 06 Jul 2012, 18:34

Please assist with guidance on how I can learn more about my great-grandparents. Here is the information that I have:

Maria Grazia Buccino (Buccini) dob November 1, 1871
Vincenzo Piscitelli (Piscatelli) dob January 6, 1868.

Maria arrived in Boston from Naples, Italy, with two children aboard the SS Cambroman on October 13, 1903. Vincenzo was waiting for her at 2 North Square, Boston, Massachusetts.

My understanding is that they came from the village/parish of Santa Maria a Vico in Casserta.

I would appreciate any advice or direction you may have to learn more about the origins this branch of my family.

Thank you,
Ann F.

Hi Ann,
The civil records for Caserta are online as images only on FamilySearch.org. They are not indexed, but you can search through them much as you would a microfilm. Here is a link to Santa Maria a Vico:
https://familysearch.org/search/catalog ... %20Library

Best of luck,

PS It is not just Caserta that has images only online: search the Catalog by Keyword for any place you are interested in, then go to the left sidebar and under Availability select Online.
