Hey Mardi, I'm so glad we could help a bit :D .
If Laura traveled with Nicolo, she may not have used her maiden name
If she traveled alone or with family she probably used her maiden name
Have you found any of her siblings manifests? The family may have traveled together...

Yes, I have found some of her siblings. Most of them were traveling on the Hesperia - July 15, 1898.....That would put Laura in the target aren, if she came after the birth of her first child.
Thanks Valerie, for the heads up. That is were I will start looking.
You have given me much of your time on this subjest...I do appreciate it.

Thank you so much Tessa78....I did have their marriage date but not the actual document, awesome. Thank you so much for searching this for me.
Valarie, I did search the ship for Laura, that her siblings were on, and no luck.

Much thanks to you both for taking time in search for my family.

Hey Mardi! :-)

I believe this is the family in the 1910 US Census.
Living on "Little Texas Plantation" in Assumption, Louisiana
The image is REALLY blurry, but you can pick out the important information.
Father: Nicola Cuccia (transcribed on Ancestry as "Carcia") born Italy, age is right
Mother: Laura Cuccia, born Italy, age is right
Child: Maria (transcribed Morine), born Italy, age 13
Child: Catherine, born Louisiana, age 9
Child: Philippa, born Louisiana, age 7
Child: Joseph, born Louisiana, age 2
Child: Francis, born Louisiana, age 4

The date of immigration is very hard to read...

Hey T :D !
Great Find
Here's another copy of the 1910 census you found
My best guess is 1901 immigration

That was my guess, too! Glad to have another set of eyes :-)
Given that Catherine was born in Louisiana about 1901, I was thinking maybe Nicola returned to Italy to bring back his wife and daughter, Maria...

I believe you both found where the family was living in the 1910 Census. Looking at the Census,(in double vision), I recognized other family members, that were also living on the Plantation.
At the bottom of the census, it had the Ancestry Box, I scrolled down, and they were Family #63 and #67 (name was badly misspelled) They are Trombatore.
The family that was Nicola and Laura and their children is #66. Shows the Immigration year 1898.
The way the story went, was Nick and Laura left Mary in Italy (either she was too young to travel or other reason) and then later went back for her.
Valanie, found the 1903, New Orleans, ship manifest. Mary was traveling with Nicholas Brother Biaggio.
Sorry I do not know how to forward images ....but if you put in Jennie Trombatore on the 1910 Louisiana Census, that's where they are all located.
This all sounds like a soap opera .... ya'll have been just wonderful. Thanks.

Two witnesses are recorded at the end of the entry: Michaelangelo Zabbia and Alberto Inserra...
