Michele Parise & Rosa (or Renza) Salvino

Post by 5chandlers »

My Great-Grandfather Giuseppe Parise was born in Rogliano, Italy on the 19th of May 1880. His parents were Michele Parise and Rosa Salvino.
I do not know if he had any brothers and sisters.
He married Maria Teresa Gallo in 1905 and within a few years was in Clarksburg, West Virginia where my grandfather was born in 1910.
I'd like to know more about Giuseppe's parents and siblings if he had any.
Ideally I'd like to contact cousins still in Italy.
Thank You,
James Chandler

I see next to my Aunt Erminia's name on the 1909 passenger list you found, the same number and date that appears on the 1913 list I already had. Any idea what it is?
9A1640 11/3/43
I'm wondering if it has something to do with obtaining a passport?
If 1943 was when the number was written on the list, then I'm really impressed they found her on both documents without the aid of a computerized index.

Hey James!
You're right, the notation was by the US Govt
On 3 Nov 1943 they looked at her arrival
Here's a link that may help to explain the numbers
