Rivoltorto's from Bari?

Post by samueljorlando »

My grandmother's father's name was Ernesto Rivoltorto, and he had a brother Giacomo Rivoltorto. The only thing I know about where they came from is Bari. . .

Ernesto was born January 18, 1901.
Ernesto came to New York Aug 23, 1920

Giacomo was born September 15, 1905

any leads on where to go? I don't know who their parents were and am having and incredibly difficult time finding any information. I don't even see the name Rivoltorto come up anywhere outside my family.

I noticed you have the SSDI listing for Giacomo and Ernesto attached to your tree on Ancestry...
You can send for the Social Security Application for Ernesto or Giacomo... It should have the names of their parents...

You can also write directly to Triggiano to request their birth records :-)
