Birth certificate

Post by Best1028 » 26 Oct 2012, 01:49

I have obtained my Grandfather's naturalization papers. It lists his birthplace as Saville. I believe this to be Savelli KR. I have written to the municipo and they tell me that they have no records. His name on Nat papers is Giuseppe Galiotti(Joe Galiotti ) Arrived from Naples to new york on May 9, 1902 on the vessel North America. Birthdate is April 15, 1881. Any suggestions.

The SS Nord America arrived at Ellis Island on May 8, 1902, not on May 9th. It picked up passengers in Genoa and then in Naples. I'm wondering if this could be him.
