I am researching "Carracino" originally from Pollica, Salerno, Italy before coming to America. My great grandmother was Catarina Carracino (b.1848) and her husband was Pasquale Vassallo. I'd like to get more info on their parents and their siblings. Even a church name may be helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank Albano

Re: Pollica Italy - Carracino
I found no records online for Pollica, nor Family Search seems to have microfilms.
If you know date of birth, you can try writing to the National Archives of Salerno:
as-sa@beniculturali.it
Site:
http://www.archiviodistatosalerno.beniculturali.it/
They are very kind and can search and send you documents (with a fee).
But you'll have to write in Italian.
