My mother passed me the names of my grandmother's parents (Giuseppe Arrigo and Antonina Riile) and my grandfather's parents (Carmela Parisi and Giovanni Rizzo). According to my mom, all of these folks are from Sicily--but Riile doesn't seem like an Italian name to me. Any thoughts on where to start with Sicilian records?
Thanks!
Actually the surname Riili (not with an "e" at the end) is found (even currently) in various Sicilian towns. You can search the current Italian phonebook to see the various towns.

The following may or may not be your ancestor, but in this extraction, the surname was spelled with an "e" at the end, which may be an error, or possibly the surname was originally spelled that way.
