Eleuteri and DiLouie(sp?) families from Perugia

Post by piorbital »

My great grandparents Otto and Anna (Dilouie?) Eleuteri lived and died in Trenton NJ.
They immigrated in 1884 from, I believe, the Monteleone di Spoleto area.
There are many records of the DiLouie family in Trenton (there were many of them) but I can't find that name (or something close)in Italy.
Does anyone have a good guess where the name "DiLouie" might have come from?
I would also appreciate any tips, hints or clues that could help me track down records for Anna and Otto and their ancestors.

Thanks...I didn't think of that one.

I have been searching on names like Diluigi. There are very few.
