Thank you Tessa. Do you think Gresia could be erased and might be Crescenza. That name seems to show up often in Avigliano.

thank you all for your help.

Do you think this is the correct for Vita Crescenza Bochicchio's death. If so would someone kindly translate it.

Probably not :-)
This Vita Crescenzia Bochicchio was 3 days old!
Parents were Vincenzo Bochicchio and Donata Loffreddo

Probably not is right. When a second spouse dies is the name of the predeceased spouse recorded on the Atti di Nascita? I looked for Leonard Bochicchio from 1886 up to 1902 thinking I could pick him out as Vita Crecenza Bochicchio's husband. I was hoping to find Leonard's birth parents from his death certificate but the only information I have is that he was alive in 1866 and his wife Vita Crescenza Bochicchio predeceased him.

Thanks again for your help. :)

I am not understanding your question... :-)

However... on the death acts, if a surviving spouse does not remarry then the spouse who predeased him/her would be named ... for example, widow of - widower of -
(So, if Leonardo did not remarry he would have been... "vedovo di Vita Crescenza Bochicchio")

If the surviving spouse remarries, then dies, he/she would be named as ... husband of- wife of -

Thanks Tessa. You answered my question. I guess I should have said when the other spouse dies. To my knowledge there was no remarriage. I will look again for "vedovo di" on the documents.
