Greco and Privitera Families from Carlentini

Post by DR1088 » 20 Dec 2013, 18:14

Greetings and Buon Natale:

I am looking for information on either of the 2 families above. My Nana was Lucia Privitera Greco (b.1899) and emigrated from Sicily to Omaha, Ne in the early 1920's. My Nano was Andrea Greco (b.1891), who emigrated from Sicily in 1915 or so. They met and were married in Omaha. Both had siblings, some of whom remained in Sicily. Would like to learn more about their parents, and their time in Italy. Any help would be appreciated.

This is Lucia's Ellis Island manifest (maybe you already have it): ... &line=0001

Lucia was 22 (born 1bout 1899), and her sister Carmela 21 (about 1900); they left father Giuseppe in Carlentini.
Unfortunately, on there are no records prior to 1900, but this might be Carmela's Birth act: ... 1391950103

She was born November 23rd, 1900. If this was Lucia's sister, their father Giuseppe was 33 in 1900, so born about 1867, and their mother was Rosa castro.
