My great-great-grandfather was Giuseppe Uccello of Canicattini Bagni. His wife was Santa Cultrera. On Giuseppe and Santa's marriage record, Giuseppe's parents are listed as being Sebastiano Uccello and Maria Uccello. I was able to find Sebastiano's death record, which substantiated the fact that Giuseppe's mother's name was Maria Uccello. However, on Giuseppe's death record, his mother is listed as being Maria Amato. I am very confused by as to why Maria's last name is different in this record. Does anybody know why this may be?
