Post by trevisan2 » 20 Nov 2014, 06:50

I was contacted by someone living in Brazil on Face Book. They want to find out where in Italy their great grand father Francesco di Biasi comes from. They have heard it might be from Treviso area.

Here is what they know.
Francesco di Biasi b. about 1835 in Italy
Died in Brazil.

They found this information in the emmigrantion office in Brazil for immigrants in São Paulo State was, he discovered the record that their great grandfather came with his parents and brothers at the Port of Santos-SP, coming on the ship Frisia, bound for Campinas SP on 12/11/1888.
His father's name was Francesco Biasi and in 1888 when he came to Brazil was 53 years old, was born in approx. 1835.

Married to Caterina dal Santo
born about 1852 in Italy
died in Brazil.

They had five children born in Italy
Luciano Biasi b. 3 Feb 1873 Italy died in Brazil
Giovanni Antonio di Biasi b. about 1871
Maria di Biasi b. about 1879
Catterina di Biasi born about 1883
