Trapani Sicily Search Help!

Post by ashelyk »

Hey everyone! I finally figured out my mother's side of the family came from Trapani, Sicily after going through censuses from my city. Now I've hit a wall seeing that finding records from Sicily in general has been a struggle.

What I do know is my grandfather name was Andre Maggie/o (unclear on the censuses) he was born about 1875, immigrated in 1905 and married at the age of 28. He was married to Mary Maggio who was born in 1883 who immigrated along with her husband. That's all the information so far.

I would appreciate the help! Thank you!

I agree with Livio that the date is Oct 29th. The 30th belongs to the next record.

Is it possible that Gaspare DiMaggio is really Gaspare Giamporcaro? I was unable to find anything under the name DiMaggio but found Giamporcaro married to Rosa Ferro. I just want a second opinion before I continue. Thank you :D

That record is from Partinico, Palermo, Italy I would say Gaspare DiMaggio and Rosa Ferro were married in Camporeale

Hello! Hope all is well. I am just re-visiting this and have a question. Andrea's last name was DiMaggio but DiMaggio it seems was also Anna Maria's maiden name. Was DiMaggio a common last name at the time?

Thank you!
