Born in Pontebba

Post by whmorel » 29 Jan 2015, 14:45

An ancestor of my wife is born in Pontebba about 1843. His name is Theodorus Peccol: We only know he married in Nadrag (now Romania) in 1875, age 32 and born in Pontebba. Who can help us for further information?

It looks like the civil records are only from 1807 to 1815, that's a shame: https://familysearch.org/search/image/i ... %3D1939238

But there does appear to be a lot of church records available on microfilm - they are in Latin and German: https://familysearch.org/search/catalog ... %20Library

I don't know how much microfilm costs for international shipping - within the US it's $7.50 for a short term loan (90 days from shipping date or a guaranteed minimum of 60 days with the film). The film gets shipped to your local Family History Center, which you select when creating an account.
