My great grandfather Ettore Romeo came to the US in 1911. He was born in Reggio Calabria (the city) in 1886. His brother was Carmello and came to the US around the same time. Their parents are Antonino Romeo/Chiara Calafiore.
I have all the info on Ettore since his arrival into the US, however no info on his family back in Italy. Are there Romeo's still in Reggio? How long were they in the area? Any other siblings? Why did they leave?
Any help unlocking the Italian mystery would be great.
Romeo family- Reggio Calabria
Re: Romeo family- Reggio Calabria
Romeo is a very common surname in several towns in the province of Reggio Calabria so there is a good possibly a relative still exists there. You may want to try the Italian White Pages or Pagine Bianche http://www.paginebianche.it/cerca-da-numero for help
