Family name

Post by sellitto »

I am looking for my grandfather. His name is Carmine Alise. He was born somewhere in Southern Italy on 17 December 1888. He left Italy in 1906 for the USA. Any information about him would really help me.

Thank You

Carmine ALISI , age 16 , sailing in Naples 22 Feb 1906, arriving in new York the 8 March 1906-"Sicilia"ship-coming from Anagni, joining Fabrizio MAGNO uncle in New York

I don't know if we are related. But my Grandfather was also an Alise (Moses Alise). He was born in Marigliano, Italy, just outside of Naples. I'll have to dig deeper to see if there is any connection. But hopefully the town will help. Keep in touch.
