Town of "Vicuaro"

Post by saccolicious » 12 Jan 2016, 04:49

I have a death record from the town of Civitaquana, province of Pescara, for who I believe is 7th-great-grandmother. The record says:

"19 8bre 1775

Sempronia di Profio, vedova del qm. Gio. Batta Bartoli della Terra di Vicuaro Diocesi di Tivoli di circa anni 70"

Even before finding this, I was sure her husband was not from the town of Civitaquana, but I can't seem to figure out what town the record is referring to. Does "Vicuaro" in the Diocese of "Tivoli" mean anything to anyone? Vicuaro is about the right spelling, since Giovanni Battista's death record also says "nativo di Vicuaro".

I believe it is Vicovaro, near Rome (and near Tivoli)
