NYC birth record of Vincent J. DiMarco - requesting help please

Hi All,

This site has been a great help in finding my relatives and ancestors and I hope I can ask for another favor?

My wife and I are trying to find the birth record of her grandfather, Vincent James DiMarco. According to his baptism record, he was born Feb 9th, 1919 at 323 East 74th St. But we also found an application to record a birth not registered at time of occurrence, submitted by his parents, but don't have a date when that was made. That document also says that a birth certificate was "Not Found".

When we requested a birth certificate from NYC Dept of Health, they couldn't find anything.
So, it could be that an official birth certificate wasn't created? We assume there was a "certificate of birth (delayed registration)" filed and it would have been recorded with the 02/09/19 date. And he served in the US Navy, so we assume his birth had to be recorded at some point?

Mother: Rosalia Cangiolosi (Cangliose / Cangliolosi)

i checked the vital records indexes of births in 1919 in manhattan and found one i believe is vincent dimarco

DIMARCO, MALE DOB-02-12-1919 cert number 7675

probably wasnt named at that time

this is the one other one born in feb

DIMARCO, CARMELO DOB-02-01-1919- cert number 6195

We're still having some trouble unless we can prove to NYC that we have some justification.
Is there perhaps a link you can share with which you found that first certificate, #7675?
