Recent Records

Post by jg326 » 17 Oct 2016, 04:55

My great grandfather immigrated in 1907 and left 3 brothers and a sister in his hometown of Italy. I have been able to find the birth and marriage records of his siblings but the death records stop at 1944. I would like to find out his siblings date of death and if they had any children. I have found a couple individuals in the small town with the last name but do not want to intrude. Would writing the town hall or the province be of any help? Has anyone had any success doing this?

Write to the town hall by all means but understand that records for the past 70 years are under the privacy act. You should enclose a chart indicating how you are related. Alternately write to persons individually in the town and you may get lucky.
