Ministro surname

Post by rmatos » 09 Feb 2006, 01:00

My grand-grand-mother from my mother's side  was called Genoveva Ministro.
Nobody in my family, knows anything about that surname. Actually, my grand-father (Genoveva's son), don't remember even to hear her mother say the names of her parents, although they were still living until he was a teenager. And lived a few miles apart.

It's kind of a romantic story actually: girl goes against familly to marry the one she loves.

I do not know anything more. I think that my ancestors could be italien, from Genova. That would exlain the name "Genoveva". It's not that common in Portuguese. And since it is joined to a surname that I only have found in Italian persons...

Thanks in advance for any kind of help on this matter...
