Looking for this family -
Giovanni Battiste Campogiorni
BIRTH 23 MAR 1869 • Rome, Roma, Lazio, Italy
DEATH 2 OCT 1935 • Oswego, Oswego, New York, USA
Married
Filamena Vona
BIRTH ABT 1885 • Morolo, Frosinone, Lazio, Italy
DEATH 1916 • Oswego, Oswego County, New York, USA
I know his parents were Nicola and Aruma (?) Ponzi from the marriage certificate for him and his second wife. The hand wiring is poor – Ponzi may be Pozzi, though I have DNA matches for family with the Ponzi last name.
One of their children was born in Italy – Mary b. 1906.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is Filomena's arrival in 1910:

I think the correct spelling for her husband's surname is Campagiorno or Campagiorni, today present above all in the town of Frosinone. Unfortunately, civil records for Frosinone and Morolo are available, but only viewable at Family History Centers of the Mormon Church.

Re: Campogiorno/Vona
Thank you - I have searched all electronic records I could think of under the soundex variations including Campagiorno(i), though the family in the US still uses the Campogiorno spelling (those that haven't shortened it to just Campo anyway).
Luckily there is a family history center about 10 min from me - I am assuming I will need to request microfilm or microfiche. I will discuss it with them when it opens.
Thank you again
