Trouble with Naturalization Record

Post by ccc123 » 28 Sep 2018, 16:29

Hi There,

I'm working on applying for Italian dual citizenship, and the one outstanding issue is whether or not my ancestor naturalized before 1912. His name was Girolamo Scalisi born in Palermo, immigrated in 1880, died in 1931, lived in Lake Charles, LA, married to Rosa Pecorino.

On the 1910 Census, he was listed as having First Papers
1920, he was listed as Alien
1930, he was listed as Naturalized

I've contacted USICS, the National Archives in Ft. Worth, and I've searched extensively on Ancestry.com, but I can't find anything even close to a naturalization record. I've tried every iteration of spelling that I've seen in his records and even more. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
