The witnesses were Desiderio Petrillo, 49, a farmer, son of the deceased Domenicangelo, likely brother of the
child Desiderio's father Pietro and Crecenzo Petrillo, 50, a farmer, son of the deceased Arcangelo, possible a cousin of father Pietro.

Wow thanks! The website link you sent me my phone couldn’t load it but thank u so much! I’m just getting into my Ancestry and love finding out new things. I’m also trying to find my Great Grandpa Sebastino Marion’s (born abt 1897) Siblings and/or parents here’s what I found for that so far, but can’t view the actual images except for this one https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NQ7P-R88 that page shows Samuel Marion’s parents names as “McCall” (which I speculate that he told them his dads name is Michele, but his heavy accent must have sounded like “McCall” to the person, and his mother as Maria Cerrone, it also shows his wife’s fathers name as Isadore (which is Desiderio the document I showed in the original post) and also his wife’s mother’s name as Modestina Spino. Iwant to know if any of these documents add up to Samuel Marion’s parents (Samuel changed his name from Di Maria to Marion when he moved to the US) www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLK5-RZDW and www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JXYD-LYM and also www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JN56-JPL

Sebastiano's 1913 manifest above is 2 pages images (410 and 411) and gives his relative in Italy as his mother as Maria Cerrone on the first page with his destination as New Amsterdam NY to join his father Michele there on the 2nd page. His age is 18 so yob is about 1895. This verifies Sebastiano's parents' names.

Okay, thanks! I guess I will try and find Michele’s documents before I ask more for him, his side is the mystery tho ha ha. And so cool that you guys found so much on the Petrillo side, even a potential cousin, and some of Desiderio’s siblings, thank you! I’m wondering if he named his Daughter Christina Petrillo after his sister that you found, Cristinangela, I wonder if we can find how that potential cousin is related to pietro, ha ha :) Thanks

The family name is De Maria in the later records and Di Maria in earlier records in Santa Croce.

Also, this document shows my great great grandpa Desiderio Petrillo (born 1879)’s wife in her US arrival as Modestina Spino, and it shows next to her her child, Francesco Spino as “going to see my husband, Desiderio Petrillo” it also shows in the same group as her with a * as Domenico Petrillo, age 34 as “going to see my Brother, Desiderio Petrillo”is there any information on Domenico Petrillo? https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KD45-YWR
