Early Termini Records

Post by stfrancis » 14 Jun 2019, 22:58

Are the only online, and accessible, Termini records the ones I find on the Antenati Site, and Family Search. I do not find any before 1820, is this correct ?
Thanks

In Sicily, the stato civile only began in 1820, after the Bourbon restoration and the integration of island into the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

Thank you anyway. Looks complicated.

I have the death of Maria Balsamo (1834), which names her father as Mariano Balsamo (he died before 1820, and probably born around 1730...). Her mother is Maria Gullo (who died before 1834).

I would have to figure out which church and write to them I guess ?

Thank you Marty.
I post her death. Maybe this helps. Based on her age she was born about 1754, so I think her father Mariano should have married before 1754...assuming everything is normal, and no mistake in the age.
