Birth Records in Sulmona, L'Aquila

Hello,

I am looking for birth and marriage records for my great grandparents who were allegedly born and married in Sulmona, L'Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy:

Vincenzo Del Signore (born 10 October 1891) and Anna Quattrocchi (born 26 July 1898), married 26 October 1919.

I cannot locate these records in the archives, as records from these dates seem to be missing/have not been indexed. Does anyone know how I would go about obtaining these records?

As a disclaimer: they submitted this information upon their arrival to the United States, so I can't confirm the accuracy of the information. For example, maybe they came from a small town but recorded Sulmona, a more recognizable location. However, I think it's a good place to start!

I had a friend translate the request into Italian and e-mailed it to statocivileanagrafe@comune.sulmona.aq.it over a year ago, but never received a reply.
