Identify Lapel Pin in Photo?
Hello. I recently was given a photo of my Great-Great Grandfather who grew up in Vizzini, Sicily. I am wondering what the lapel pin he's wearing signifies - does it relate to the military in any way? Any help appreciated.

it seems more a civil decoration, but it's very hard to say in this photo. Which was his job? When was he born?

He was born abt. 1869 in Licodia Eubea, he was a tailor and a composer.

If he was born in 1869 it's very unlikely that he participated in any war. My guess it's that he was awarded a decoration for his work.
