Rossetti — Paduli

Post by gascot »

I'm piggy-backing this off of a previous thread (https://www.italiangenealogy.com/forum/ ... logy/47663) because I realized I asked for way too much.

Here's what I know.

Between October 10th and November 29th 1868, Giuseppe Rossetti was born to Gabriele Rossetti and Girolama D'Angelis. (1868 was the only year Paduli's birth records are not on the online index for the state archives). He married Alessandra Mazzeo and had 5 children between 1890 and 1900. Giuseppe died December 22nd 1937.

I'm looking for records regarding Giuseppe and Alessandra Mazzeo's parents, or however farther back it is possible for the trail to go.

A user was kind enough to link me to Giuseppe Rossetti's death certificate, which can be found here: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it ... ewsIndex=0

Hi, they had a daughter on 11 Apr 1867 named Vittoria Rossetti. Gabriele Rossetti was 30 old, farmer, and son of alive Michelangelo, and Girolama D'Angelis was the daughter of late Alessandro. The family lived in the Torre city quarter

No one happens to have access to the year 1811 in Paduli's birth records, right? FamilySearch, of course, hasn't made it available online and it seems the Archivio di Benevento starts its records at 1816. Trying to find Michelangelo Rossetti's birth cert. Or Lucrezia Mastrovito's, for that matter.

Anyone have tips in finding a mother’s records? Giuseppe Rossetti’s wife Alessandra Mazzeo never even has her age recorded on any of the docs so I’m pretty much flying blind.

Actually, disregard the previous post, it's way too broad, (apparently you can't edit or delete after a certain time so looks like I'm just gonna bump) but does anyone have access to the year 1868 in Paduli's birth records?

Is there a database out there with records from before the 1800's? Like, the 1700's and so on? I've gone through the family tree up until the earliest known ancestor, and he was born in 1777. I really want to push beyond that year.

Can anyone help me out here?

You have to go to church records for information you need gascot.
Go back 1860 and below and find out what church they use
