I am looking to find the penale certificate in 1920 in Rome.
The original residence is Naples. So far Naples tells me they dont have anything, but possibly in Rome.
Does anyone know where to make the request in Rome (Naples does not give me any further info!) ?
thanks

Re: Penal certificates
You may have already seen these links. It seems you need to contact the Procura della Repubblica in Roma. There is an email address on the second link which may or may not be helpful to you, but it's worth a try.

Re: Penal certificates
Thanks Erudita
I will try them.
I asked the State Archives in Rome and the State Centrale Archives. They told me they do not keep any judicial records. They said to try contacting the courts in Rome and Naples, where the cases originated.
thanks

Re: Penal certificates
I have no personal experience tracking down this type of certificate, but hopefully you'll get some positive results.
