Gaetano Turturro, Maria Tatulli Turturro from Bitonto, Italy

I have been looking for detailed information about the immigration of my great grand parents and grandfather. Info I have is that Gaetano Turturro (great grandfather, DOB approx 1863), Domenick Turturro (great uncle, DOB 1893) and Frank Turturro (great uncle, DOB 1896) immigrated to the US in 1907. 4 years later,in 1911, rest of family immigrated including, Maria Turturro (great grand mother, DOB approx 1874), Frances Turturro (great aunt, DOB 1890), Nicholas Turturro (grandfather, DOB 1903) and Antoinette Turturro (great Aunt, DOB 1907).

I have searched ancestry.com and the ellis island website with no luck. Can anyone recommend a source for further research? Thanks very much.

Such confusions with these names... Turturro, Tatulli.... Gartatno Turturro... Curturro... Catulli...

Not easy to research... you know... the records for our paesanos are there... the hard part is figuring out what name or town "modern" man transcribed them as... just makes it a research nightmare...

Hi my name is Tim Turtura my great grandfather was Vincent turturro born1889-1962 somehow the name got changed his wife was grace or Nicolette.. I was always told that we were related have you got a great uncle we all caled him James but I think it's Vicente .. If you find his name can I have his brothers name and their grand parents thank you

I can not recommend a source but maybe help further. My grandmother was Antoinette Turturro. Possibly there is a connection?
